China has launched the world’s first AI-powered hospital, named Agent Hospital, developed by Tsinghua University.
It operates entirely with 14 AI doctors and 4 AI nurses, providing virtual patient care from diagnosis to treatment with high speed and accuracy.
These AI agents, using large language models, scored over 93 percent on U.S. medical exam questions and can handle up to 10,000 patients within days, a workload that would take human doctors years.
The hospital also functions as a virtual training platform for medical students. Experts highlight its potential but emphasize the need for strong regulation and safety checks.
