Holiveah
Rivers State-born visual artist Olivea Lawson, popularly known as Holiveah, has launched an ambitious attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Marathon Painting by an Individual.
Since July 21, 2025, Holiveah has been painting non-stop in a week-long Paint-A-Thon scheduled to end on July 27.
The marathon isn’t just about setting a global record, it’s a mission to inspire young people, empower women, and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Nigeria.
Hailing from Bonny Island, Holiveah has dedicated her canvas to powerful themes like hope, resilience, and African pride, using each brushstroke to highlight the beauty and diversity of Nigerian culture.
So far, she has clocked over 90 hours of continuous painting, attracting support from art lovers, cultural advocates, and fans across Nigeria and beyond.
The event is not only boosting visibility for the arts but also positioning Bonny Island as a budding creative and tourism hub.
If successful, Holiveah’s record-breaking feat could open new doors for local artists and bring global attention to Nigeria’s thriving creative scene.
