Senzo Mchunu

President Cyril Ramaphosa has suspended Police Minister Senzo Mchunu over alleged ties to organised crime. A judicial probe will investigate claims that he interfered in political killing cases and had links to a drug cartel. Mchunu denies the allegations.

Law professor Firoz Cachalia is acting minister.
