Iyabo Ojo & Lizzy Anjorin
Nollywood’s long-standing feud turns explosive again as Iyabo Ojo declares legal war on Lizzy Anjorin, citing relentless insults, threats, and defamation.
Ojo took to Instagram with a pointed message, saying her legal team has been quietly collecting evidence for what may become a renewed court case against Anjorin.
The actress accused her colleague of launching defamatory attacks, curses, and disturbing threats targeting her family, especially her children and grandson.
“My legal team isn’t sleeping. They are taking note of everything… Everything has its timing,” Ojo wrote in a Monday post, hinting that litigation is imminent.
The renewed threat follows a setback earlier this year, when the Lagos State High Court struck out Ojo’s ₦1 billion defamation suit against Anjorin due to procedural issues.
Despite the legal blow and a court order for her lawyer to pay ₦500,000 in costs, Ojo now says she’s ready to move forward with new action.
Ojo expressed deep concern over Anjorin’s alleged online rants and curses, calling them not just defamatory, but emotionally damaging. She revealed that her silence has been a deliberate act of restraint while focusing on her family, particularly the recent arrival of her first grandchild.
“The insults, curses, even death wishes Liz has directed at my family, especially my grandson, are heartbreaking. I struggle to hold my peace, but I choose to ignore the distractions,” Ojo shared.
The Ojo-Anjorin feud, which has simmered for years, initially intensified when Ojo publicly supported Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, the Iyaloja-General and wife of Anjorin’s husband. The move reportedly triggered a barrage of online attacks from Anjorin, setting off a cycle of accusations, parody videos, and legal threats that continues to this day.
Anjorin, known for her fiery Facebook live sessions, has often taken direct aim at Ojo, stirring widespread commentary across TikTok and Nollywood gossip circles. In May, Ojo claimed her daughter Priscilla received a disturbing letter suggesting the family’s movements were being monitored, an act she indirectly linked to Anjorin.
Tensions escalated further after a fire incident at Ojo’s Lagos office, which she believes is connected to the threats. She has publicly warned that if anything happens to her or her loved ones, Anjorin should be held responsible.
Despite setbacks in court, Ojo insists her legal strategy remains intact.
Her latest statement makes it clear that she is done holding back.
“Silence can be powerful, but it’s time for legal redress,” she wrote.
As both women continue to trade lawsuits, online taunts, and personal accusations, the Ojo-Anjorin saga remains one of Nollywood’s most high-profile celebrity clashes, with no signs of resolution in sight.
