Portable
Controversial Nigerian singer Portable, has addressed reports surrounding a chaotic scene at Odumodublvck’s recent concert, offering his version of events that sparked the altercation.
Earlier, the “Zazoo Zeh” crooner despite on the lineup to perform, engaged in a heated physical confrontation with several unidentified individuals at the venue. However, Portable insists the situation was triggered by a deeply provocative religious comment made as he attempted to enter the concert arena.
According to the singer, an individual allegedly pulled his ear and whispered a statement he found highly offensive, claiming it involved an insult about Prophet Muhammad. Portable said the remark immediately drew attention from people nearby, rapidly escalating tension and hostility around him.
Rather than retreat, the singer claimed he chose to stand his ground despite being outnumbered because he is a “strong man”. He alleged that the verbal exchange quickly turned physical, with blows exchanged on both sides before security and others intervened to calm the situation.
“For Odumodublvck concert yesterday, Someone pulled my ear and told me prophet Muhammad (SAW) has died , that’s why I started fighting at Odumodublvck concert Na him like 15 people gather only me. Na God say make I stand o. I stand strong. Them throw blow, I throw blow. Dem do Gidibo, I do Gidibo,” he said.
Portable further revealed that the energy shifted dramatically once it was time for him to perform. He said the crowd’s mood softened, noting that some people who were initially part of the confrontation later showed support during his stage appearance.
“Before I perform, even people wey follow f!ght me dey shout Zazoo,” Portable added.
