The US Embassy in Abuja will remain closed for routine business until March 9, citing potential protests. Visa and American Citizen Services appointments for March 4–5 have been rescheduled.

The closure follows security concerns over planned demonstrations by the Islamic Movement in Nigeria in solidarity with Iran, after reports of the death of Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in alleged US–Israeli airstrikes.
