The latest development on the Local Government crisis in Oyo State is that, the Oyo State Government under the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde has suggested “out of court settlement” to Oyo ALGON through the Government’s lawyer Chief Akin Onigbinde (SAN) while in court on Wednesday last week, in which Oyo ALGON also agrees in and court gave both parties a week to return and update the court on the amicable settlement next week Wednesday.
It learnt that the peace meeting would hold anytime soon before Wednesday.
This was made known by the ALGON secretary, Oyo State Chapter, Pastor Olayinka Jesutoye of Ogo-Oluwa Local Governments, Ajaawa in an interview section on Ijoba Ibile program of Splash 105.5 FM anchored by the veteran broadcast journalist Abiodun Adewole, says anytime soon the outcome of their meeting with the State Government will be known before Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020.
According to Pst. Olayinka “ Bar. Akin Onigbide SAN representing the Oyo State Government who earlier initiated the Out of Court settlement after both party resumed case in court last Wednesday, thus ALGON advocate, Bar. Niyi Akintola SAN as well received the peaceful resolution document with plans ongoing”
Oyo ALGON through its Secretary therefore reaffirmed its right heart to stand for peace in the state particularly the Local government councils.
Jesutoye said, “the Out of Court settlement is indeed a good one as we hope Engr. Seyi Makinde led government will ensure a safe and peaceful resolution, because we’ve been agitating for this for a very long time”
Oyo ALGON then urges the good people of Oyo state to patiently wait for the outcome which will inevitably come out before Wednesday next week.
