In a well attended 10th Year Anniversary on the Throne of his Forefathers, His Royal Highness, Oba Fatai Oyeyinka Aromire Ojora conferred Chieftancy titles on the Executive Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area, Alhaji Fatai Adekunle Ayoola and his Wife as the Aare Opomulero and Yeye Opomulero of Ijora and Iganmu Kingdom at the Palace of the Monarch.
Speaking with Newsmen, the Chairman outlined the responsibilities attached to the Tittle bestowed on him by the Monarch to include but not limited to Civic Engagement and Social Justice, to Uphold the Virtues of the Ijora and Iganmu Kingdom, ensure Peaceful Coexistence, Orderliness and Harmony among the Residents across the Ethnic groups and Religious Beliefs.
He urged the Residents to be good Ambassadors and live in Unity among themselves. He also called for support for Constituted Authorities within the Council Area.
When asked about his Performance since the inception of his administration, Ayoola enumerated his Achievements in the Four major Development Agendas to include Massive Infrastructural Development, Qualitative Health Care Delivery Service, Women Emancipation and Youth Empowerment and Educational development across the length and breadth ofthe Local Government Area. He also restated his commitment to Qualitative Governance and the need to continuously deliver the dividends of Democracy to the Electorates.
On the Southwest Security Outfit, ‘Amotekun’ recently set up by the Southwest Governors and other major Stakeholders in the region, Ayoola declared total support for the Initiative. He said ” the establishment of the Security Network has become necessary considering the geometric increase in the rate of Kidnappings and Killings in the Region “.
Dignitaries Present at the Occasion were the Vice Chairman of the Local Government Area Hon. Mrs. Nkem Igwe, Chairmen of Iru-Victoria Island and Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Areas, Princess Rasheedat Abiodun Adu and Chief[Mrs] Funmilayo Mohammed-Akande, the Local Government Area Councillors led by the House Leader, Hon. Kehinde Arogundade, members of Staff and management, Traditional Rulers, Traders, Artisans, Residents and Well-wishers across Lagos and beyond.
During an Exclusive interview Session, the Executive Chairman of Iru-Victoria Island, Princess Rasheedat Abiodun Adu extolled the Virtues of the Aare Opomulero of Ijora Kingdom, Alhaji Fatai Adekunle Ayoola. She said “the newly installed Chief has distinguished himself in all areas of human life and proven to be Worthy of emulation. She also said that Ayoola has contributed immeasurably to Human and Capital Development, Citizen Empowerment and Poverty alleviation to mention a few.
The Leader of the fifth Legislature in the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area, Hon. Kehinde Arogundade also rejoiced with the Chairman over his coronation, he stressed that it was a well deserved Honour. He said the Chairman held the Traditional Rulers and Institution in high esteem. He also stated that the Chairman has fulfilled about Seventy percent of his Campaign Promises to the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Residents.
