HOW ZAMFARA POLICE COMMAND BURST SUSPECTED RITUALISTS DEN -CP Nagogo …Recovers Fetish Items

The Zamfara State Police Command has carried out a raid on a House suspected to be inhabited by Ritualists in Unguawar-Dallatu Bayan Community in the state.

While the Officers of the Nigerian Police were searching through the House, a Shrine was discovered; items suggestive of ritual activities were positioned at different strategic locations and were subsequently evacuated as exhibits. During a Press Briefing, the state Commissioner of Police, Usman Nagogo psc+ stated that the culprits would be fished out and prosecuted as soon as investigations are concluded.

In its desire to ensure fairness and justice, the state Police command forwarded invitations, made arrest of other suspects and interrogated them.

Exhibits recovered at the Shrine such as pint of blood and other fetish items were subjected to Forensic and Laboratory Analysis. The blood sample which was taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Gusau turned out to be that of human being and was sum up to be “O” Negative”, the Commissioner said.

Speaking further, Nagogo said on Monday, 6th July 2020, the case took another dimension when the informant whose identity was hidden then turned out to have carefully planned and executed his own mission to achieve his predetermined agenda.

Further investigation revealed that the informant, Nasiru Garba also known as ‘MO’ had some personal grudges to settle with some highly placed Government officials in the state.

To achieve his devilish act, he lured one Mustapha Abdullahi and Hassan Garba, both Males who were initially not informed of the purpose for which some of the items were acquired; other exhibits such as Calabash, local Pot, pint of blood and a white piece of Cloth with Arabic inscriptions were recovered at the Shrine.
