Responding to his jaundiced “press release” of mischief and vilification circulated on behalf of his co-travellers, Senator Iyiola Omisore is generally a waste of time! However, he must be enlightened on few things he misguidedly fed the public through his vituperations.
A socio-cultural organization with strong believe in the political ideologies of Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, IBORA (I Believe Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola), will briefly address some few misrepresentations and outright lies borne out of sheer malice and envy in his presentation.
In his diminutive arrogance, he used the expression “Fate and Destiny” to compare Aregbesola and Omisore in their political accomplishments and service to humanity.
In his attempt to diminish the stature of Ogbeni Rauf, he was inadvertently able to affirm the fact that Aregbesola is a consistent achiever in his political journey and service to humanity where “fate and destiny” dealt devastating blows on their principal, Omisore at every turn.
Another of his unresearched epistle is his attempt to put the two political individuals in historical perspective. If the essence of coming to this world is to write our own history, Jelili has successfully nailed Iyiola Omisore as someone whose existence is abysmally a bad. From history, great people often start from humble backgrounds as he described Aregbesola. A description he could not say of his principal since his beginning is shrouded in secrecy and his whole existence is enveloped in infamy!
Albeit, his write up were largely based on emotion and desire rather than deep reasoning.
Let us even do some elementary analysis here based on “fate and destiny” of both Omisore and Aregbesola:

– Omisore has experienced impeachment even as a subordinate to a governor while Aregbesola was never involved in any impeachment contemplation.
– Aregbesola prepared adequately and voted for himself to become elected as a State Executive Governor but Omisore never prepared or voted for himself to become a Senator as he was in the prison answering murder charges.
– Aregbesola is representing Nigeria with 774 LGAs as a Minister of FRN while Omisore represented through back door and executive manipulations, only 10 Local Governments as a Senator.
– Aregbesola as a well principled politician has never moved from one political party to the other. His party only transformed from one name to another just like changing one’s cloth but with the same individual wearing them. But Omisore jumped ships from AD to PDP to SDP and now to APC through the back door arrangements.
– At every stage of his party wearing another cloth, Aregbesola always hold key offices premised on competence and service delivery.

AD – Commissioner for Works and infrastructure
AC – Commissioner for Works and infrastructure
ACN – Governor of Osun
ACN/APC – Governor of Osun
APC – Minister of the FRN
Iyiola Omisore, in contrast is an itinerary political junket, jumping from one party to another:
AD – Deputy Governor (Impeached)
PDP – Senator from prison on murder charges
PDP – Failed Candidate
SDP – Failed Candidate
APC – Failed on arrival for lack of loyalty, trust and consistency.
The elders say, “Birds of the same feathers flock together”. Iyiola Omisore, Jelili Adesiyan and their co-travellers lack loyalty, integrity, trust, decorum, political consistency and service delivery. No wonder they are in the same political ship seeking greener pastures in political parties that are in government! Aregbesola is undoubtedly poles apart in this trade of AGIP (Any Government In Power).
Former Governor Oyinlola when decamping into the APC in 2014 at Osogbo Stadium described both of them thus, “Omisore would be audible when occasionally he is saying the truth. But when telling lies, you never hear him again”!
“As for Jelili, yoruba elders would say: “Asunkun rojo obinrin, ile lo ntu” – a married woman who always cry while expressing herself is a home destroyer”. Jelili while defending himself before the Senate in the hallowed chamber as a nominee for a ministerial post, resorted to weeping when confronted with facts on his past misdeeds. He wept bitterly like a baby to attract sympathy: A confirmation of former Governor Oyinlola’s description of him.
*The crux of the matter:*
Ogbeni in his sagacious outing on revalidation of his APC membership, was able to boldly affirm his political origin in the direction of Bola Ige and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is an embodiment of loyalty, consistency, trust, service and contentment.
Let Omisore come out to tell the whole world his own leader and mentor and we would remind him of how Baba Akande and the Cicero Bola Ige were ignobly treated! You can’t naked the elderly in the market square and seek to cover them with garments in a corner.
The imaginary press release by Jelili Adesiyan and his cohorts is known in Logic as, Fallacy of Argumentum ad Hominem (arguing with use of abuses)!
It is therefore an aberration to continue to refer to such element as a former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Osun APC must shine its eyes and beware of fair-weather friends!
