Yahaya Ahmed, who based in Kaduna State, Northern Nigeria. He was know to build a house in Kaduna with 20,000 plastic bottles. His dream to build a house with plastic bottles started when he was living in Germany many years ago. Now he is hoping that Nigeria and other African countries will adopt this kind of house
In an interview with BBC Pidgin, Yahaya Ahmed said “This plastic bottle house is much stronger than normal house build with block and cement. The house is fire resistance because of the clay materials inside the bottles. We even carried out some experiment by using petrol to set the house on fire but the fire didn’t penetrate the building”
He also added that it is children and other people that has been helping him to pick up bottles from different recycle bins, eateries and other places where project are going on.
