Ayodele Fayose, former governor of Ekiti State, has urged Nigerians to ignore the Presidency and Ejike Mbaka, a Catholic priest and spiritual director of Adoration Ministries, describing them as scammers and blackmailers.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain said this in a tweet on Friday.

“The Presidency and Father Mbaka are nothing but blackmailers and scammers.

“They don’t deserve the attention of Nigerians,” he wrote.

Mbaka had earlier renounced his support for President Muhammadu Buhari, asking him to resign or be impeached by the National Assembly. He also blessed Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), saying he is fighting for the well-being of the South East.

Responding, the Presidency said the cleric is only mad at Buhari for not giving him contracts as reward for his support. It said Mbaka had led some contractors to see Buhari, demanding to be awarded juicy contracts. It added that rebuffing him caused his latest outburst
