A section of the Tejuosho Ultra-modern Market in Yaba, Lagos has been gutted by fire, Citizen NewsNG reports.
According to the Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Mrs. Adeseye Magaret, the fire started at the clothing and tailoring materials section of the market which later spread to other part of the market.
“We received a distress call at 4:01 pm and our men from Ilupeju and Isolo Fire Stations, as well as the Federal Service from Ojuelegba led by ACFS Adebanjo, arrived at the scene. The fire is under control as damping down is in progress”, Adeseye told Citizen NewsNG at the scene of the incident.
The major cause of the inferno is still unknown as at the time of filing this report.
