Over Ten Thousand Lagos Residents and Youths embarked on a Solidarity walk to declare support for the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Governorship Candidate of the party who also doubled as the Governor of the state, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other flagbearers on Lagos Island Local Government Area on Saturday 3rd December, 2022.
In an exclusive Interview with Citizen NewsNG, The Coverners of the rally, a Lagos Prince, Hon. Taiwo Oyekan and a Grassroot Mobilizer, Mr. Olanshile Sauban said the rally became necessary to sensitise and mobilize the electorate for Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu and other All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidates ahead of the 2022 general elections.
“We are not relenting in our efforts to ensure all-round victory for all the candidates of our great party in the 2023 general elections”, Prince Oyekan told Citizen NewsNG Correspondent.
Prince Oyekan exolted the Leadership Qualities and virtues of Tinubu.
“Asiwaju Tinubu as Governor of Lagos, re-engineered the state in every facet. He empowered thousands of people and ran a purposeful administration”, He stated.
He outlined the road infrastructure, bridges, housing estates, public schools and other critical institutions that have remained as legacies of the Tinubu Administration as Governor.
“Tinubu is the best President Nigeria need at this time. He laid the Blue print for Lagos State”, Prince Oyekan said while addressing the gathering.
Continuing, Prince Oyekan described Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as a Performing Governor who has over a short period of time transformed Lagos State to an enviable height through the ‘Greater Lagos Project’.
He urged Lagos residents to vote for Sanwo-Olu and his running mate, Hamzat at the Governorship election in the state.
He reiterated his unalloyed loyalty to the All Progressives Congress and charged party members and non-members to intensify their efforts to ensure a resounding victory for all the Candidates of the Party at the polls.
He however expressed appreciation to the Youths and other Participants for turning out in large numbers.
The Participants promised to kickstart a Door-to-Door Canvassing to ensure resounding electoral victory for Party across the state and beyond, Citizen NewsNG further reports.
In attendance were the Organizers, Prince Taiwo Oyekan and Mr. Olanshile Sauban, Leader of the Lagos Island Local Government Area, Hon. Olaiwola Ajose, Honourable Councillors, Youths and Students, Professionals, Market women, Artisans among others.
