As the world marks International Children’s Day, Astute Lagos Council Legislator and Executive Director of Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan KAO Foundation, Prince Taiwo Oyekan fetes children on Lagos Island Local Government Area and across Nigeria.

In a Press Statement signed by The Prince Taiwo Oyekan Media Centre, he described children as precious gifts from God.

He however charged youngsters on the island and beyond to be steadfast, study hard to achieve academic excellence. He also urged them to shun bad company and learn new skills for self Development and Actualisation.

“Choose the right role model, follow their footsteps and exceed their Feats”. He emphasized.

“At Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan (KAO) Foundation, we reiterate our commitment to provide moral and educational support for the children, particularly on Lagos Island and the State”, Prince Oyekan vowed.

“We will provide a veritable platform and more conducive learning environment for the pupils on Lagos Island Local Government Area”, Prince Oyekan continued.

Recall that in 2022, Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan Foundation Organised Summer Coaching for over 500 Primary and Secondary School students on Lagos Island Local Government Area for learning and knowledge Acquisition.

The Foundation also organised Skills Acquisition Training Programmes such as Music Class, Soap making, Bead making, Dance cum Cultural display.

A debate competition was setup for the pupils in which a Public School student, Miss Kanyinsola Yusuf from Girls Secondary Grammar School, Falomo, Ikoyi emerged the winner.

KAO Foundation Presented One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) Scholarship to her.

In addition, School Bags, Exercise Books, Mathematical Sets and other writing materials were presented to the students.

Similarly, An Indigent but Brilliant Undergraduate of the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Miss Wusamotu Adebisi Jinadu was gifted One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) Scholarship.

One Hundred (100) Students across Lagos Island Local Government Area were given free UTME/ JAMB Forms with Transportation fares to their Examination Centres.

“Once again, I rejoice with you all, May the Almighty God continue to Guide, Protect and make you Prosper as you grow”, Prince Oyekan prayed.
