The Lagos state government has announced the diversion of traffic for the reconstruction of Thomas Ajufo inwards Sheraton link bridge axis.

In a statement on Sunday, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, Lagos commissioner for transportation, said the reconstruction works will start on Monday and last for four weeks.

Osiyemi added that alternative routes would be available to motorists during the period.

“Motorists heading towards Opebi road will be allowed to use one side of the Opebi road ccarriageway because the construction requires the second lane to be closed,” the statement reads.

“Also, motorists heading towards Mobolaji Bank Anthony way from Allen Avenue/Toyin street will make use of Toyin Street via Ola Ayinde street to connect Ikeja under bridge and continue their journeys.”

The commissioner encouraged motorists to obey road signs to ensure a continuous flow of traffic.
