An auto crash claimed two lives on Sunday afternoon after a speeding driver lost control of his vehicle and veered off the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The incident occurred immediately after the Iperu-Ogere bridge, en route to Sagamu-Interchange, Ogun State, at about 2:38 pm.

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, spokesperson in Ogun, Florence Okpe, who confirmed the incident, said two male and one female adult were involved in the crash.

“Two male adults were confirmed dead and one female adult sustained an injury,” she said.

Okpe, who added that the driver of the Toyota car was overspeeding, said, “the driver lost control and ran into a drainage by the roadside.”

The injured victim was taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere for medical attention, while the corpses were deposited at the FOS morgue, Ipara.
