Foremost Lagos Community Crusader and Deputy Leader of Lagos Island Local Government Legislative Arm, Hon. Taiwo Oyekan sympathises with Residents and Traders affected by the unfortunate fire outbreak in the Lagos Communities.
Hon. Oyekan’s message was contained in a Press statement issued by his by Media & Strategy Centre and made available to Journalists.
He stated that he was saddened by the huge lossess recorded in the inferno.
Continuing, He said: “My thoughts and Prayers are with the Victims and their Families affected by this devastating fire incident”.
The Council Legislator lauded prompt intervention of Men of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue service, National Emergency Management Agency and other First Responders in curtailing the inferno.
He charged the Locals and Business Owners on Lagos Island Local Government Area and across the state to be Safety Conscious at all times and acquire Fire fighting devices such as Fire Extinguishers and Fire Quencher Balls.
Hon. Oyekan also encouraged residents to call dedicated Lagos State Emergency Numbers: 767 or 112 in case of Fire outbreak or other emergencies.
He also advised residents against obstructing Emergency Workers in the discharge of their duties. He charged them to render support when necessary.
