Zenith Bank Plc has clinched the prestigious title of Best Bank in Nigeria during the Global Finance Best Banks Awards 2024, marking its fourth win since 2019.
The bank was recognized alongside institutions from 36 African countries in the 31st Annual Best Bank Awards.
Global Finance editors compiled the list of top banks following extensive consultations with corporate financial executives, bankers, banking consultants, and analysts globally.
They evaluated a range of factors, blending quantitative metrics with informed subjective assessments, to determine the winners.
The objective factors included: growth in assets; profitability; geographic reach; strategic relationships; new business development and innovation in products.
The subjective criteria were: opinions of equity analysts; credit rating analysts; banking consultants and others involved in the industry.

Commenting on the award, the outgoing Group Managing Director/Chief Executive of Zenith Bank, Dr. Ebenezer Onyeagwu said: “This award serves as a powerful affirmation of our resilience and tenacity despite headwinds and a very challenging macroeconomic environment.
