A Tragic tanker explosion in the early hours of Tuesday has claimed the lives of at least two people, including the driver and his motor boy in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The incident occurred at the New Garage area in Oluyole Local Government Area of the state.

The tanker, suspected to be carrying petroleum products, reportedly erupted in flames, sending shockwaves through the neighbourhood and leaving residents in mourning.

Firefighters from the Oyo State Fire Service, assisted by security agencies to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby commercial outlets and residential buildings.

Meanwhile, the explosion has caused significant disruption to human and vehicular movement in the area, as authorities strive to manage the aftermath of the incident.
