A General Court Martial sitting at the Nigerian Army’s 82 Division in Enugu has sentenced Private Adamu Mohammed to death by hanging for murdering his girlfriend, and Private Abubakar Yusuf to 10 years imprisonment for robbery.

The court, presided over by Brigadier General Sadisu Buhari, found Mohammed guilty under Section 106(a) of the Armed Forces Act, while Yusuf was convicted under Section 107(1)(b). Both verdicts are subject to confirmation by military authorities.

The Army reaffirmed its commitment to discipline and accountability in maintaining professional conduct.
