The Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC) has officially welcomed Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran (aka Jandor), a former PDP leader and founder of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, into the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Adediran, who was the 2023 Lagos State governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), joined the APC in March.
In a statement issued by his spokesman, Pastor Gbenga Ogunleye, on Thursday, Adediran confirmed his reception by GAC members, including Prince Tajudeen Olusi, Chief Rabiu Oluwa, Senator Ganiu Olanrewaju Solomon, and Senator Musiliu Obanikoro.
The meeting took place during the Umrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, symbolizing a significant moment of unity and collaboration among key political figures in Lagos. Adediran emphasized that the encounter reinforced the commitment to Lagos State’s progress, unity, and the shared values of the ruling party.
Adediran resigned from PDP on March 3, citing indiscipline and betrayal, after initially defecting from APC in 2021.
