Popular Kannywood actress Mansura Isa has broken her silence on the emotional and financial betrayal that led to the breakdown of her second marriage, describing the experience as surreal.

In a candid interview on the BBC Hausa programme “Mahangar Zamani”, with veteran actress Fati Mohammad, Mansura revealed that her second marriage was rooted in deceit.

According to her, her husband’s true intention was to gain control of a N4 billion business deal she was managing.

“I married for love. You know what they say, love is blind. But it turns out he had a different agenda, not real love,” she said.

Recalling how the relationship unfolded, Mansura shared that she met her second husband during a business trip to Lagos through an uncle. Trusting him, she allowed him to represent her interests.

He professed his love and promised to support her acting career, leading her to accept his sudden marriage proposal. She did not think much of it when he returned to Lagos the next day.

“He suddenly proposed marriage, and I accepted, thinking he was genuine. He even said I could continue with my film career. We got married at night, and the next morning he left for Lagos,” she recounted.

Blinded by love, she signed a business agreement he presented at their wedding. Shortly after, he ghosted her, ignoring her calls and eventually cutting off all communication.
