A Nigerian lady has dragged her grandmother to court over an unpaid debt of N95,000, which she borrowed five months ago. The grandmother claims the lady promised to repay the loan in June but now refuses to pay, stating she’s taking care of her and buying her clothes.

In her defense, the grandmother said, “I said I will pay her back, but I don’t have the intention to pay her back. She is my child. Why will I pay her?” She justified her stance by mentioning that the lady stays in her house rent-free, eats her food, and she buys her clothes.

The grandmother added that she’ll pay the lady back if she “cools down,” implying that the lady’s decision to take her to court is a sign of disrespect. She claimed she took care of the lady’s education from primary to secondary school, which she believes justifies her reluctance to repay the loan immediately.
