A lecturer from the Department of Education and Social Studies, PAUU, reportedly died from a suspected high blood pressure (HBP) episode during a hotel hangout with a 200-level student from Kogi Central.

Eyewitnesses say the 8-month divorcee and father of 15 had consumed multiple bottles of alcohol before the incident. He collapsed while attempting a second round, prompting the student to alert the hotel staff, who then called the police.

He passed away before help could arrive.
