Governor Monday Okpebholo has suspended his Special Adviser on Oil and Gas, Felix Isere, for unauthorized fundraising linked to a planned oil and gas summit. The summit, scheduled for August 7, has been cancelled.

Isere was ordered to refund all collected donations, and donors were warned to cease further dealings with him.
