The Nigerian Air Force will acquire 49 advanced aircraft by 2026 to boost operations, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Abubakar announced.

The new fleet includes 24 M-346 fighters, 12 AH-1Z helicopters, 10 AW-109 helicopters, and 3 CASA 295 transport planes.

He stressed the need for improved maintenance capacity to support the high-tech platforms.
