Prophet Adefolusho Aanu Olasele( Abbas Ajakaiye)

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested the founder and General Overseer of The Turn of Mercy Church, Prophet Adefolusho Aanu Olasele, popularly known as Abbas Ajakaiye, for allegedly orchestrating multiple shipments of illicit drugs into Nigeria.

The clergyman, who had reportedly fled to Ghana to evade arrest, was apprehended on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at his church along Okun Ajah, Ogombo Road in Lekki, Lagos. NDLEA operatives waited for him to conclude his Sunday service before moving in.

His arrest followed a two-month manhunt after the agency linked him to two separate seizures of “Ghana Loud,” a potent strain of cannabis, weighing a total of 900kg. During interrogation, Prophet Olasele allegedly confessed to transporting the illicit consignments via waterways from Ghana into Nigeria.
