The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has sanctioned 132 Nigerian Correctional Service officers after reviewing 231 disciplinary cases.

Fifteen were dismissed, 59 demoted, eight compulsorily retired, 42 warned, and seven suspended, with one facing EFCC prosecution. Sixteen officers were cleared of wrongdoing.

The board, led by Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunde-Ojo, pledged strict enforcement of ethical and professional standards.
