Ghana’s Defence Minister Edward Omane Boamah, Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, and six others died in a helicopter crash in the Ashanti region today.

The Z9 helicopter, en route from Accra to Obuasi, lost contact earlier in the day. Flags will fly at half-mast, officials confirmed.
