Shock and fear have taken over a small village after a tragic and bizarre incident claimed the life of 13-year-old Yosia Benjamini, a Grade 7 pupil.

According to his father, the boy went to bed healthy on Sunday night, only to wake up screaming as a chicken all£g£dly attacked him rep£at£dly.

“I rushed to his room when I heard him cry out. The chicken was still pecking him, and I chased it away,” the distraught father recounted.

Although Yosia seemed to recover for a moment, his condition suddenly worsened. “He started complaining of chest pain and difficulty breathing. We rushed him to the nearby health center, but he was pronounced dead on arrival,” his father said.

Villagers are left in shock, with whispers of witchcraft or spiritual forces circulating. “We have lived with chickens all our lives, but nothing like this has ever happened,” one villager said, urging traditional cleansing rituals to ward off evil.

Authorities have confirmed the unusual case and are investigating the cause of death, including examining samples from the chicken. Meanwhile, the village mourns a bright and respectful student, whose untimely death has left the community shaken.

Grief-stricken villagers are calling for vigilance, warning that similar unexplained incidents could threaten others. Yosia was laid to rest on Tuesday, leaving behind heartbroken family and friends.
