The Lagos State Government on Monday re-arraigned notorious billionaire kidnapper Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, widely known as Evans, before the Lagos High Court in Ikeja. Evans, alongside his co-defendant Joseph Emeka, faces a five-count charge including murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy to commit kidnapping.

The case, presided over by Justice A. O. Ogala, centers on the alleged murder of two police officers. Both defendants pleaded not guilty to all charges during the court session.

The trial has drawn significant attention due to Evans’ high-profile criminal history, with further proceedings expected to unfold in the coming weeks.
