Bandits have amputated the hand of a farmer identified as Abdulkarim in Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State, deepening concerns over renewed attacks on rural communities.
The incident reportedly occurred last Friday evening while the victim was working on his dry-season farm before he was accosted by the assailants.
Security analyst Bakatsine, who disclosed the incident, said, “On Friday evening, armed bandits amputated the hand of a farmer, Abdulkarim and severely injured him in Kubau LGA of Kaduna State.”
Explaining the circumstances that led to the attack, he added, “The attackers reportedly found him working on his dry-season farm when they carried out the assault. Sources say the violence was triggered after he confronted them.”
The victim was said to have sustained severe injuries during the incident.
Kubau Local Government Area in Kaduna State has experienced several security incidents in recent years.
When contacted by SaharaReporters, Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer Mansir Hassan said the police would investigate the incident, gather additional details, and provide an update as soon as possible.
