The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the approved UTME cut-off marks for 2026 university admissions in Nigeria, with institutions across the country submitting their minimum entry scores during the 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions held in Abuja on Monday.
According to the list presented to journalists, Pan-Atlantic University fixed the highest UTME cut-off mark at 220 for the 2026 university admissions exercise.
Several top institutions, including Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Benin, University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, University of Nigeria, and Covenant University, adopted 200 as their minimum score for admission consideration.
In Lagos State, Lagos State University and Lagos State University of Science and Technology set their UTME cut-off marks at 195, while Lagos State University of Education fixed its benchmark at 185.
JAMB explained that the approved scores serve as the minimum requirement for university admissions, adding that institutions can still raise the marks for competitive courses such as Medicine, Law, Pharmacy, and Engineering.
