In Kaduna State, the Nigerian Army has arrested a civilian suspected of pretending to be a retired Major-General.
This arrest was carried out by troops involved in Operation FANSAN YAMMA, according to a special report released on Thursday in Abuja.
The report mentions that the 312 Artillery Regiment troops stationed at Strike Force Base, Sabo, took the suspect into custody at approximately 9:14 a.m. on Thursday.
The individual is accused of impersonating retired Maj.-Gen. MT Ibrahim.
Currently, the suspect is in military custody and is undergoing preliminary investigations.
Arrangements are being made to hand over the suspect to the appropriate security authorities for further investigation and necessary actions.
Efforts are also ongoing to determine the circumstances of the alleged impersonation and to see if any other individuals were involved.
