Babcock University has initiated legal proceedings against Nigerian streamer Carter Efe for allegedly forging a school certificate.
During an interview with Egungun of Lagos, Carter claimed he graduated from the private university with high honors and shared what he said was his graduation certificate on the X platform.
He asserted that he earned a Biochemistry degree with a “First Class Upper” classification.
In response, Babcock University issued a public statement on Sunday, labeling his claims as untrue.
The university clarified that it does not recognize a classification called First Class Upper and announced that it would take appropriate legal action against those involved in the forgery.
The statement emphasized, “FRAUD ALERT, Babcock University does not issue ‘Honorary Certificates’ for undergraduate achievements and has no classification known as ‘First Class Upper.’
Any document suggesting otherwise is fraudulent and should be ignored. We encourage the public to verify all credentials through the Office of the Registrar.”
