Popular cleric and founder of Agape Christian Ministries, Pastor Funke Adejumo, has advised married men against placing themselves under pressure to satisfy every expectation of their wives, saying no man can completely please a woman.
Adejumo gave the advice during a sermon that has since gone viral on social media, where she urged husbands to continue loving their wives but warned against losing themselves in the pursuit of perfection in marriage.
Addressing married men, the clergywoman said women naturally desire change and improvement, making it impossible for any husband to meet all their expectations.
“To all married men, don’t ever kill yourself trying to please a woman. I’m a woman speaking to you, and there is nobody who can please a woman to the fullest,” she said.
To illustrate her point, Adejumo referred to women’s beauty routines, noting that many alter their natural appearance despite believing they were created beautifully by God.
“God gave us natural nails, we cut them and put on artificial ones. He gave us natural hair, we remove it and wear wigs. If God cannot please us completely, who are you to think you can?” she added.
She, however, encouraged husbands to continue showing love, care and commitment to their wives, stressing that they should not exhaust themselves trying to attain an unrealistic standard of perfection in marriage.
