At least six people have been killed after a gas-laden truck exploded at an Army checkpoint along the Abuja-Lokoja highway in Kogi State.

The explosion, which occurred on Tuesday night near the Chikara Division, reportedly spread to three other trucks, killing their drivers and assistants.

Emergency responders, including police, FRSC officials and traffic officers, evacuated the victims’ remains to the General Hospital, Abaji, while the burnt vehicles were cleared to restore traffic flow.
