The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has launched a new platform that lets candidates upload their O’Level results from home, ending the need to visit a Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre for this process.

The system allows JAMB to verify candidates’ Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results directly with the examination bodies that conducted them, starting with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

JAMB’s Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in a statement on Monday. He said the board can now confirm candidates’ results straight from the examination bodies involved.

“As a responsive organisation committed to providing efficient and accessible services, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has facilitated the verification of candidates’ O’Level results directly from the various examination bodies responsible for conducting the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, beginning with the West African Examinations Council.”

Benjamin explained that the shift to a technology-driven process was designed to tackle problems tied to the old manual method of uploading results at CBT centres. These included misplaced or mixed-up documents, submission of fraudulent or unverified results, and errors from candidates entering subjects and grades by hand.

He added that the new system would cut down on unnecessary trips to CBT centres and spare candidates long queues and delays, especially during peak periods.

“By using technology to reduce unnecessary visits to CBT centres, queues and manual processes, JAMB is putting candidate ease of service delivery at the centre of its operations.”

How to upload your O’Level results from home:

Visit the result verification platform and enter your NIN, then select “Verify NIN.”
Choose the number of sittings and the relevant examination body before clicking “Continue.”
Enter your email address and phone number, select “Pay Now” and complete the payment using a debit card or bank transfer.
Provide your examination number, series and year to obtain your Verification Code.
Send “VERIFY” followed by your Verification Code to 55019 or 66019. Your result will then be uploaded and you will receive a notification.
Candidates with two sittings should log in to the JAMB e-Facility portal and select “2026 UTME O’Level Upload.” They should enter the Verification Code and select between five and nine subjects, making sure no subject is entered more than once, then click “Apply the O’Level Results” to complete the process and get confirmation.

JAMB said the new system is expected to significantly ease the network congestion and heavy traffic that usually build up at CBT centres during peak admission periods. The board added that it would keep working with examination bodies and other government agencies to improve its services and widen access for candidates.
