Cult War Imminent in Makurdi. Security Agencies and the Public Should Take Note

Recent attacks and reprisal attacks among suspected members of different cult groups in Makurdi has given a pointer of worrisome signals that all is far from normal as a few death have been reckoned to be associated with activities of cultists.

Rumours making the rounds have also intimated that, some top members of some of the cult groups have been killed in the previous days and their members have vowed to retaliate by also hitting at their rivals. Areas like high-level, Gyado Villa, 2nd Gate BSU, Awe Street, Logo 1 & 2, North-Bank, Wadata, NUJ and Ankpa Ward are areas believed to be soft targets.

It will be in the interest of public safety for people to avoid keeping late nights, avoid joints and bars patronized by the bad guys generally trade with caution around town.

Similarly, the Security agencies in the state especially the police are enjoined to take adequate steps in intelligence gathering and other security measures necessary to check this impending menace.
