THE FEW AMONG MY RECOMMENDATIONS TOWARDS RESOLVING PERSISTENT
LAGOS TRAFFIC GRIDLOCK
There’s the need for:

■Decentralization of the Central Business Districts and Administrative Headquarters.

■Adoption of Urban Containment Strategy using Rail Transportation Option and Integrated Multimodal Transportation System.

■Fixing and reconstruction,expansion of existing Road Networks as Population growth is directly proportional to Human/Vehicular Traffic.

■Formulation of Stricter Traffic Laws and Rules and Full Enforcement on the Roads across the State.

■Recruitment of more Traffic Management Personnel,Training and retraining to meet Global Standard Practice.

■High level Sincerity of Purpose on the part of the State Government towards resolving Traffic Gridlock issue in the State.
