The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Sen. Tokunbo Abiru felicitates with constituents especially the Muslim Ummah of the Lagos East Senatorial District on the occasion of this year’s Eid El Fitr, which marks the completion of the Ramadan fasting.
The Press statement released on Thursday, 13th May 2021 reads:
“I enjoin all believers who obeyed Allah’s commandment to fast in the Holy month of Ramadan not to relent in demonstrating Godly virtues and eschew vices they avoided during the fasting in obedience to divine command” he stated.
“Tunprecedented challenges facing our dear nation demand bipartisan and patriotic efforts at rescuing the country from the cliff. This is the time to come together in unity to forge a national cohesion, tolerance and peace”, the statement partly read.
He said “I referenced in my goodwill message at the commencement of the fasting that, ‘ Our challenges, though daunting but not insurmountable’ if we collectively renew our commitment to nation building”.
Sen. Abiru therefore lmpore Muslim faithfuls not to stop seeking God’s favour and guidance over the disturbing happenings in the country.
