The Deputy Leader of Lagos Island Local Government and Executive Director of Kolawole Ajibade Oyekan (KAO) Foundation, Prince Taiwo Oyekan sends Congratulatory message to Muslims on Eld-il-Kabir Celebration.

In his statement, Prince Oyekan exhorted Muslim faithful to practice the Teachings of Islam at all times.

Continuing, the Astute Council Legislator emphasized that Muslims should emulate Prophet Abrahim’s virtues as he exemplified an unrivalled level of obedience to Allah.

“I urge you to show Compassion, Support one another, Live in Harmony and shun Divisive tendencies”, He charged.

“A Prayer for Lagos and Nigeria is Paramount to our collective Well-being, as such, I enjoin citizens to continue to pray for our dear State and Country amidst Socioeconomic challenges”.

He also enjoined Nigerians to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu as the duo lead.

“I rejoice with Muslims on Lagos Island Local Government Area and across the country.
May Allah accept our Prayers, Sacrifices and forgive our Shortcomings” (Amen),”.

The feast of Sacrifice ( Eid-al-Adha) commemorates the sacrificial honour bestowed upon the Holy Prophet Abrahim when, in a dream, Allah commanded him to sacrifice his son Isma’il as an act of submission to Him.

Eid-al-Adha is observed at the conclusion of the Hajj Pilgrimage to the Holy Land in Mecca.
