Lagos Govt Reiterates Commitment To Security As LNSA Imota Is Commissioned | Citizen NewsNG

The Lagos State Government has reiterated it’s commitment to the Safety of lives and properties in the State.

While speaking at the commissioning of the Imota Station of the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Corps the Lagos State Attorney General and Honourable Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Lawal Pedro SAN, said the commissioning of the Station which construction began in January and was completed in February signifies Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to security of the State.

He said the Station which consist of Office spaces, a mini cell, store and conveniences will serve as the security hub for Imota and its environs.

Mr Pedro said, “security is the cornerstone of any responsibile and responsive government and the establishment of the Imota Station is a reflection of the administration’s commitment to creating a safe and secured environment for all.”

In his welcome address earlier at the event, Prince Dr Ifalade Oyekan fsin thanked Mr Governor for his constant timely interventions in the area of security in the State especially with grassroot security which he described as the heartbeat of a safer community as enshrined in the Governor’s THEME Plus Agenda.

Oyekan pointed out that
Mr Governor graciously renovated 16 of the Agency’s offices while 3 new ones were constructed and are being commissioned simultaneously at Imota, Ijede and Orile-Agege, which he described as the Governor’s bid to take governance to the nooks and crannies of the State.

The General Manager said Lagos State is a pioneer in community policing, having established a well structured Corp before any other State in the country.

Oyekan urged all stakeholders in the community including the Royal institution, community heads, community leaders and the police to continue to support officers of the Agency and the Government of Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu in the bid to make the state safer and more secured.

Present at the commissioning were, DPO Imota Divisional HQ, CSP Ogunniyi Babatunde, Royal fathers, Community leaders, dignitaries and a hospital of others.
