Popular Nollywood actor Jamiu Azeez recently took to his Instagram page to recount a peculiar incident involving a police officer.
According to his account, Azeez was halted at a police checkpoint where the officer on duty made an unexpected request, asking him to gift him some money for the weekend .
Refusing to comply, the actor retorted by stating that he, too, was searching for someone to help him with some money.
This response seemed to offend the officer, who then proceeded to demand Azeez’s driver’s license and other relevant vehicle documents.
Upon confirming that all his papers were in order and valid, the officer surprisingly requested the receipt for Azeez’s license plate, leaving the actor surprised.
Expressing his confusion, Azeez questioned the necessity of providing receipts for license plates.
“So today, I was stopped at the police checkpoint and the officer asked me to do weekend for me too.
Na so Oga change face oo, then he asked me for my document and driver’s license and I gave it to him.
After realizing all my documents were valid, Baba asked me for the receipt of my plate number. Abeg Shey Dem dey give receipt for plate number ni”.
