The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday night announced the postponement of the House of Representative primary election for the 2027 general elections to Saturday, 16th May, 2026.
The primary was earlier fixed for Friday, May 15.
A statement signed by Felix Morka, disclosed that the “previously announced Primary Election dates for the Senate, State Houses of Assembly, Governorship and Presidential primaries remain unchanged.”
The Primary Elections for Senate seats will still hold as scheduled for Monday, 18th May, 2026 while State House of Assembly primary will equally be conducted on fixed date of Wednesday, 20th May, 2026.
Governorship and Presidential primary remain as scheduled for 21st May and 23rd May, 2026, respectively.
