The ancient city of Ibadan came alive with excitement and relief this evening following reports that Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo a.k.a. Sunday Igboho led an operation that resulted in the rescue of Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, the younger sister of former Minister of Power and Oyo governorship aspirant Adebayo Adelabu, and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter John-Paul and Paul John-Paul, from suspected kidnappers.
According to reports circulating this evening, the victims were allegedly rescued after intervention by Sunday Igboho and his men, while the suspected kidnappers were reportedly apprehended during the operation.
Mrs. John-Paul, a former staff member of the Central Bank of Nigeria and First Pension Custodian, was kidnapped alongside her twin sons on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, while reportedly taking the children to school in Ibadan.
