Sherifat began her academic journey in 2019 and, despite disruptions from the COVID-19 pandemic and ASUU strikes, maintained a remarkable record of excellence throughout her time at the university. Her dedication earned her multiple recognitions, including the OAU Star Award for Best Student in her department for two consecutive years.

Beyond academics, she built skills as a graphic designer, served as Head of the Design Team of the Nigeria Association of Computing Students (NACOSS), and worked with organizations across Nigeria, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
