Madam Taiwo Abimbola Olawuyi, wife of the late Kola Olawuyi, beloved on-air radio and television presenter known as ‘Làbẹ́ Ọ̀run’, has passed away. She died today, Monday morning, after a brief illness.

Her passing comes 19 years after the death of her husband, Kola Olawuyi, the pioneering investigative journalist and fearless broadcaster who became a household name through ‘Iriri Aye’ and ‘Nnkan Nbe’. His programmes exposed criminal activities, ritual killings, fraud, and other social vices.

Following her husband’s death, Madam Abimbola stayed away from the public spotlight. She dedicated herself to raising their four children and preserving the family through years of personal sacrifice.

She is remembered as a devoted mother whose resilience and quiet strength kept the family together despite the enormous challenges after her husband’s passing. May her soul rest in peace.
