Candidates whose names appear on the final list are required to complete additional steps before moving to the next stage of the recruitment process.
After receiving the notification, successful applicants should visit the designated NCS update portal using their National Identification Number (NIN) or registered email address.
They are required to upload a valid Medical Certificate of Fitness obtained from a government-recognised hospital.
When will the medical certificate portal open?
According to the Nigeria Customs Service, the portal for uploading Medical Certificates of Fitness will be activated on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
Successful candidates will have one week from the date the portal opens to complete the upload.
Candidates are advised to obtain the required medical certificate early and complete the upload within the stipulated period.
Candidates must update their state of residence
The NCS also directed successful applicants to update their current state of residence on the portal.
After doing this, candidates must formally accept their provisional appointment by clicking the “Accept Offer” button.
Once this has been completed, they should wait for the issuance of their Trainee Identification Number.
The Service said the Trainee Identification Number would be communicated within one week.

NCS warns candidates against missing deadlines
The Service urged successful candidates to follow all instructions carefully and complete every stage within the specified timelines.
It warned that failure to meet any of the requirements or deadlines could lead to disqualification from the recruitment process and the loss of the provisional appointment.
The Nigeria Customs Service congratulated all successful candidates and said it looks forward to welcoming them into the Service as they begin their careers.
